Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2008 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale), which included the work Flowering by Satoshi Furui. The price achieved of HKD 247,500.00 (€ 20,375.80) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 200,000.00 – 300,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Satoshi Furui - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Mushroom Cloud #02, #04, #16, which sold at auction in May 2007 for HKD 720,000.00 (€ 68,558.69).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2008 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) durch, in der auch die Arbeit Flowering von Satoshi Furui zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 247.500,00 (€ 20.375,80) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 200.000,00 – 300.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Satoshi Furui mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Mushroom Cloud #02, #04, #16 beobachtet, die im Mai 2007 für HKD 720.000,00 (€ 68.558,69) versteigert wurde.
