Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Sarah Morris could be acquired at Phillips in London in January this year for an unexpectedly low price. In the Evening & Day Editions auction, the work Department of Water and Power changed hands for GBP 2,520.00 (€ 2,860.24) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Sarah Morris achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work "Paradigm (Los Angeles)" in May 2019 with an auction result of EUR 126,438.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Sarah Morris konnte im Januar diesen Jahres bei Phillips in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Evening & Day Editions wechselte die Arbeit Department of Water and Power für GBP 2.520,00 (€ 2.860,24) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Sarah Morris erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit "Paradigm (Los Angeles)" im Mai 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 126.438,00.
