Upper estimate price exceeded by 34 %.
In April last year Sothebys in Paris held the auction Contemporary Curated, which included the work Issey Miyake II by Sarah Moon. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 10,710.00 34% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Sarah Moon - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Fashion 4, Yohji Yamamoto, which sold at auction in October 2020 for USD 37,500.00 (€ 32,197.13).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 34 % übertroffen
Im April letzten Jahres führte Sothebys in Paris die Auktion Contemporary Curated durch, in der auch die Arbeit Issey Miyake II von Sarah Moon zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 10.710,00 und damit 34% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Sarah Moon mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Fashion 4, Yohji Yamamoto beobachtet, die im Oktober 2020 für USD 37.500,00 (€ 32.197,13) versteigert wurde.
