Auction result well in line with expectations
In May last year Sothebys in London held the auction Photographs, which included the work Huen Chan by Sarah Moon. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 2,016.00 (€ 2,371.63) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Sarah Moon achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Fashion 4, Yohji Yamamoto in October 2020 with an auction result of USD 37,500.00 (€ 32,197.13).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai letzten Jahres führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Photographs durch, in der auch die Arbeit Huen Chan von Sarah Moon zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 2.016,00 (€ 2.371,63) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Sarah Moon erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Fashion 4, Yohji Yamamoto im Oktober 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 37.500,00 (€ 32.197,13).
