Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Rose Gardens (Orange) I, 2002 by Sarah Jones was sold in the Photographs auction at Christies in New York in April 2005. The price achieved of USD 1,440.00 (€ 1,114.64) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 1,200.00 – 1,800.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Sarah Jones achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Dining Room I-III in October 2001 with an auction result of GBP 7,050.00 (€ 11,393.83).

Die Arbeit The Rose Gardens (Orange) I, 2002 von Sarah Jones wurde im April 2005 in der Auktion Photographs bei Christies in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 1.440,00 (€ 1.114,64) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 1.200,00 – 1.800,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Sarah Jones erzielen.
