A top price for Sarah Jones - as previously expected
In October 2001 Christies in London held the auction Contemporary Art and Photoworks, which included the work The Dining Room I-III by Sarah Jones. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 7,000.00 – 9,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 7,050.00 (€ 11,393.83) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Even if this result could not surprise positively, The Dining Room I-III is the most expensive artwork by Sarah Jones that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Im Oktober 2001 führte Christies in London die Auktion Contemporary Art and Photoworks durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Dining Room I-III von Sarah Jones zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 7.000,00 – 9.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 7.050,00 (€ 11.393,83) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist The Dining Room I-III das teuerste Kunstwerk von Sarah Jones, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
