Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Sarah Grilo could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in November 2013 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Latin American Art auction, the work Igual Que Siempre changed hands for USD 17,500.00 (€ 12,861.97) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 20,000.00 – 25,000.00. Admittedly, works by Sarah Grilo have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Mi Buenos Aires querido in March last year with an auction result of USD 60,480.00 (€ 54,520.87).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Sarah Grilo konnte im November 2013 bei Sothebys in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Latin American Art wechselte die Arbeit Igual Que Siempre für USD 17.500,00 (€ 12.861,97) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 20.000,00 – 25.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Sarah Grilo auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Mi Buenos Aires querido im März letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 60.480,00 (€ 54.520,87).
