Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Sarah Charlesworth could be acquired at Phillips in New York in April 2009 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Saturday@Phillips auction, the work Portfolio of three works: Tartan Sets changed hands for USD 1,500.00 (€ 1,132.59) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 1,800.00 – 2,200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Sarah Charlesworth achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Seated Buddha (from 0 + 1) in September 2021 with an auction result of USD 25,200.00 (€ 21,767.30).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Sarah Charlesworth konnte im April 2009 bei Phillips in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Saturday@Phillips wechselte die Arbeit Portfolio of three works: Tartan Sets für USD 1.500,00 (€ 1.132,59) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 1.800,00 – 2.200,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Sarah Charlesworth erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Seated Buddha (from 0 + 1) im September 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 25.200,00 (€ 21.767,30).
