Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Santi di Tito achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in July 2018. In the Old Master & British Works on Paper auction, the work The Resurrection sold for GBP 16,250.00 (€ 18,219.82) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 8,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Santi di Tito achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait of a gentleman, three-quarter-length, in a black embroidered silk doublet and cloak, with a ruff, holding gloves and a letter in his left hand, a lute on the table in July 2015 with an auction result of GBP 158,500.00 (€ 224,699.76).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Santi di Tito erzielte im Juli 2018 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Old Master & British Works on Paper wurde die Arbeit The Resurrection für GBP 16.250,00 (€ 18.219,82) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 8.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Santi di Tito erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Portrait of a gentleman, three-quarter-length, in a black embroidered silk doublet and cloak, with a ruff, holding gloves and a letter in his left hand, a lute on the table im Juli 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 158.500,00 (€ 224.699,76).
