Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Portrait of a young boy, half-length, in a ruff 'à la confusion' - a fragment by Santi di Tito was sold in the Old Master Paintings & Sculpture Online auction at Christies in London in July 2021. The price achieved of GBP 11,875.00 (€ 13,925.90) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Santi di Tito achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait of a gentleman, three-quarter-length, in a black embroidered silk doublet and cloak, with a ruff, holding gloves and a letter in his left hand, a lute on the table in July 2015 with an auction result of GBP 158,500.00 (€ 224,699.76).
Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Portrait of a gentleman, three-quarter-length, in a black embroidered silk doublet and cloak, with a ruff, holding gloves and a letter in his left hand, a lute on the table im Juli 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 158.500,00 (€ 224.699,76).
