Auction result well in line with expectations
In January 2014 Christies in New York held the auction Renaissance, which included the work The Madonna And Child With Two Angels by Sano di Pietro. The price achieved of USD 365,000.00 (€ 270,370.37) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 300,000.00 – 500,000.00. Admittedly, works by Sano di Pietro have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Madonna And Child; Saint John The Baptist; Saint Jerome: A Portable Triptych in May 2018 with an auction result of USD 1,635,000.00 (€ 1,401,028.28).
