Auction result well in line with expectations
In January 2021 Sothebys in New York held the auction Master Paintings & Sculpture Part I, which included the work Nativity by Sano di Pietro. The price achieved of USD 504,000.00 (€ 415,327.56) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 400,000.00 – 600,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Sano di Pietro - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Madonna And Child; Saint John The Baptist; Saint Jerome: A Portable Triptych, which sold at auction in May 2018 for USD 1,635,000.00 (€ 1,401,028.28).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Januar 2021 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Master Paintings & Sculpture Part I durch, in der auch die Arbeit Nativity von Sano di Pietro zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 504.000,00 (€ 415.327,56) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 400.000,00 – 600.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Sano di Pietro mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Madonna And Child; Saint John The Baptist; Saint Jerome: A Portable Triptych beobachtet, die im Mai 2018 für USD 1.635.000,00 (€ 1.401.028,28) versteigert wurde.
