Auction result well in line with expectations
In January last year Sothebys in New York held the auction Master Paintings & Sculpture Part I, which included the work Madonna and Child by Sano di Pietro. The price achieved of USD 239,400.00 (€ 213,521.23) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 200,000.00 – 300,000.00. Admittedly, works by Sano di Pietro have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Madonna And Child; Saint John The Baptist; Saint Jerome: A Portable Triptych in May 2018 with an auction result of USD 1,635,000.00 (€ 1,401,028.28).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Januar letzten Jahres führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Master Paintings & Sculpture Part I durch, in der auch die Arbeit Madonna and Child von Sano di Pietro zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 239.400,00 (€ 213.521,23) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 200.000,00 – 300.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Sano di Pietro auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Madonna And Child; Saint John The Baptist; Saint Jerome: A Portable Triptych im Mai 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.635.000,00 (€ 1.401.028,28).
