Upper estimated price slightly exceeded

Here, the upper estimate of USD 200,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 225,000.00 (€ 208,449.14). Admittedly, works by Sano di Pietro have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Madonna And Child; Saint John The Baptist; Saint Jerome: A Portable Triptych in May 2018 with an auction result of USD 1,635,000.00 (€ 1,401,028.28).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Saint John The Evangelist von Sano di Pietro kam im Januar 2017 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 200.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 225.000,00 (€ 208.449,14) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Sano di Pietro auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Madonna And Child; Saint John The Baptist; Saint Jerome: A Portable Triptych im Mai 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.635.000,00 (€ 1.401.028,28).
