In November 2013 Christies in London held the auction A Life's Devotion: The Collection of the Late Mrs T.S. Eliot, which included the work A Young Lady, In White Dress And Shawl Trimmed With Gold Braiding And Pearls, Upswept Powdered Hair; Woodland Background by Samuel Shelley. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 4,375.00 (€ 5,264.73) could thus just exceed the lower estimate.
