Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Samuel Scott achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in December 2021. In the Old Masters Evening Sale auction, the work View of Westminster Bridge with neighbouring houses, London sold for GBP 426,400.00 (€ 508,605.76) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 200,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Samuel Scott; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Shipping At Anchor In The Thames Estuary, Near Wapping sold at auction in July 2016 with the realized price of GBP 473,000.00 (€ 562,026.33).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Samuel Scott erzielte im Dezember 2021 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Old Masters Evening Sale wurde die Arbeit View of Westminster Bridge with neighbouring houses, London für GBP 426.400,00 (€ 508.605,76) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 200.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Samuel Scott; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Shipping At Anchor In The Thames Estuary, Near Wapping im Juli 2016 mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 473.000,00 (€ 562.026,33).
