Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Still Life with Geranium by Samuel John Peploe was sold in the The Scottish Sale auction at Bonhams in Edinburgh in October 2021. The price achieved of GBP 187,750.00 (€ 222,433.04) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 150,000.00 – 250,000.00. Admittedly, works by Samuel John Peploe have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Still Life with Tulips in June 2018 with an auction result of GBP 992,750.00 (€ 1,121,976.68).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Still Life with Geranium von Samuel John Peploe wurde im Oktober 2021 in der Auktion The Scottish Sale bei Bonhams in Edinburgh versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 187.750,00 (€ 222.433,04) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 150.000,00 – 250.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Samuel John Peploe auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Still Life with Tulips im Juni 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 992.750,00 (€ 1.121.976,68).
