Auction result well in line with expectations

It changed hands for a price of GBP 275,000.00 (€ 325,800.73) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 200,000.00 – 300,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Samuel John Peploe - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Still Life with Tulips, which sold at auction in June 2018 for GBP 992,750.00 (€ 1,121,976.68).

Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 275.000,00 (€ 325.800,73) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 200.000,00 – 300.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Samuel John Peploe mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Still Life with Tulips beobachtet, die im Juni 2018 für GBP 992.750,00 (€ 1.121.976,68) versteigert wurde.
