Solley auction, the work The First Bridge and Rajah's Palace, 1865 sold for USD 2,640.00 (€ 1,995.46) - well above the upper estimate of USD 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Samuel Bourne achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Himalayas in September 2001 with an auction result of GBP 71,950.00 (€ 116,168.53).

Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Samuel Bourne erzielen.
