This artwork by Samuel Bourne achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in November 2003. In the PHOTOGRAPHS auction, the work Indian views sold for GBP 1,292.50 (€ 1,855.40) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 700.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Samuel Bourne achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Himalayas in September 2001 with an auction result of GBP 71,950.00 (€ 116,168.53).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Samuel Bourne erzielte im November 2003 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion PHOTOGRAPHS wurde die Arbeit Indian views für GBP 1.292,50 (€ 1.855,40) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 700,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Samuel Bourne erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Himalayas im September 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 71.950,00 (€ 116.168,53).
