Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Samuel Bak achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in May last year. In the Modern Art Online including Works from the Collection of Marina Picasso auction, the work Paysage surrealiste sold for GBP 17,640.00 (€ 20,751.78) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 6,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Samuel Bak; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Blue Flag sold at auction in December 2016 with the realized price of USD 35,000.00 (€ 33,169.07).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Samuel Bak erzielte im Mai letzten Jahres bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern Art Online including Works from the Collection of Marina Picasso wurde die Arbeit Paysage surrealiste für GBP 17.640,00 (€ 20.751,78) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 6.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Samuel Bak; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Blue Flag im Dezember 2016 mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 35.000,00 (€ 33.169,07).
