Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Ohne Titel by Sam Haskins was sold in the Photographie auction at Lempertz in Cologne in June last year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 800.00 – 1,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 819.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Sam Haskins achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Orignal maquette for Cowboy Kate & Other Stories, 1963-64 in May 2016 with an auction result of GBP 35,000.00 (€ 45,671.31).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Ohne Titel von Sam Haskins wurde im Juni letzten Jahres in der Auktion Photographie bei Lempertz in Köln versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 800,00 – 1.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 819,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Sam Haskins erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Orignal maquette for Cowboy Kate & Other Stories, 1963-64 im Mai 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 35.000,00 (€ 45.671,31).
