In total 203 gelatin silver prints make up the maquette. Two images appear in the maquette on the right hand page of the first and third spread of ‘Model Artist Model’ that differ in the first edition of Cowboy Kate & Other Stories: two additional spreads at the end of ‘Model Artist Model’ appear only in the maquette.

A top price for Sam Haskins - as previously expected
In May 2016 Christies in London held the auction Photographs, which included the work Orignal maquette for Cowboy Kate & Other Stories, 1963-64 by Sam Haskins. The price achieved of GBP 35,000.00 (€ 45,671.31) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 30,000.00 – 40,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Orignal maquette for Cowboy Kate & Other Stories, 1963-64 is the most expensive artwork by Sam Haskins that we have observed at auctions so far.

Im Mai 2016 führte Christies in London die Auktion Photographs durch, in der auch die Arbeit Orignal maquette for Cowboy Kate & Other Stories, 1963-64 von Sam Haskins zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 35.000,00 (€ 45.671,31) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 30.000,00 – 40.000,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Orignal maquette for Cowboy Kate & Other Stories, 1963-64 das teuerste Kunstwerk von Sam Haskins, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
