Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2017 Phillips in New York held the auction New Now: The Katayama Collection, which included the work Two works: (i-ii) Cowboy Kate by Sam Haskins. The price achieved of USD 1,625.00 (€ 1,375.60) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 1,000.00 – 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Sam Haskins achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Orignal maquette for Cowboy Kate & Other Stories, 1963-64 in May 2016 with an auction result of GBP 35,000.00 (€ 45,671.31).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2017 führte Phillips in New York die Auktion New Now: The Katayama Collection durch, in der auch die Arbeit Two works: (i-ii) Cowboy Kate von Sam Haskins zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 1.625,00 (€ 1.375,60) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 1.000,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Sam Haskins erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Orignal maquette for Cowboy Kate & Other Stories, 1963-64 im Mai 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 35.000,00 (€ 45.671,31).
