Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Sam Friedman was sold in the 20th Century & Contemporary Art auction at Phillips in New York in July this year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 8,890.00 (€ 8,067.15) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Sam Friedman - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in March last year for HKD 252,000.00 (€ 29,009.65).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Sam Friedman wurde im Juli diesen Jahres in der Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art bei Phillips in New York versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 8.890,00 (€ 8.067,15) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Sam Friedman mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit ohne Titel beobachtet, die im März letzten Jahres für HKD 252.000,00 (€ 29.009,65) versteigert wurde.
