Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Sam Friedman achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in March last year. In the Contemporary Art | Hong Kong auction, the work without title sold for HKD 189,000.00 (€ 21,757.23) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 70,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Sam Friedman; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot without title sold at auction in March last year with the realized price of HKD 252,000.00 (€ 29,009.65).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Sam Friedman erzielte im März letzten Jahres bei Sothebys in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Contemporary Art | Hong Kong wurde diese Arbeit ohne Titel für HKD 189.000,00 (€ 21.757,23) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 70.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Sam Friedman; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit ohne Titel im März letzten Jahres mit dem Hammerpreis von HKD 252.000,00 (€ 29.009,65).
