In December 2020 Artcurial in Paris held the auction Urban & Pop Contemporary, which included the work Sans Titre - 2014 by Sam Friedman. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 6,760.00 69% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Sam Friedman have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work without title in March last year with an auction result of HKD 252,000.00 (€ 29,009.65).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 69 % übertroffen
Im Dezember 2020 führte Artcurial in Paris die Auktion Urban & Pop Contemporary durch, in der auch die Arbeit Sans Titre - 2014 von Sam Friedman zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 6.760,00 und damit 69% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Sam Friedman auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit ohne Titel im März letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 252.000,00 (€ 29.009,65).
