Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Sam Durant could be acquired at Phillips in Bidding Closes in April 2019 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Unbound: Online Auction auction, the work Together and Ocean (mirror) changed hands for USD 15,000.00 (€ 13,391.66) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 18,000.00 – 22,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Sam Durant - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Can Anyone Hear Me?, which sold at auction in May 2015 for USD 47,500.00 (€ 43,205.38).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Sam Durant konnte im April 2019 bei Phillips in Bidding Closes für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Unbound: Online Auction wechselte die Arbeit Together and Ocean (mirror) für USD 15.000,00 (€ 13.391,66) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 18.000,00 – 22.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Sam Durant mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Can Anyone Hear Me? beobachtet, die im Mai 2015 für USD 47.500,00 (€ 43.205,38) versteigert wurde.
