Auction result misses estimated price range
In August 2019 a collector was able to acquire the work Transference by Sam Durant for GBP 625.00 (€ 691.94). This price was achieved in the auction Contemporary Art Online | London at Sothebys in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Sam Durant achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Can Anyone Hear Me? in May 2015 with an auction result of USD 47,500.00 (€ 43,205.38).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im August 2019 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Transference von Sam Durant für GBP 625,00 (€ 691,94) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Contemporary Art Online | London bei Sothebys in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Sam Durant erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Can Anyone Hear Me? im Mai 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 47.500,00 (€ 43.205,38).
