Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2016 Christies in New York held the auction FIRST OPEN | Post-War and Contemporary Art, which included the work Toy by Saint Clair Cemin. The price achieved of USD 35,000.00 (€ 30,728.71) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 30,000.00 – 40,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Saint Clair Cemin - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Untitled (Large Table), which sold at auction in November 2004 for USD 95,600.00 (€ 72,101.97).
