Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2013 Phillips in London held the auction Under the Influence, which included the work Aphrodite by Saint Clair Cemin. It changed hands for a price of GBP 8,750.00 (€ 10,524.89) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 7,000.00 – 9,000.00. Admittedly, works by Saint Clair Cemin have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Untitled (Large Table) in November 2004 with an auction result of USD 95,600.00 (€ 72,101.97).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2013 führte Phillips in London die Auktion Under the Influence durch, in der auch die Arbeit Aphrodite von Saint Clair Cemin zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 8.750,00 (€ 10.524,89) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 7.000,00 – 9.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Saint Clair Cemin auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Untitled (Large Table) im November 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 95.600,00 (€ 72.101,97).
