Auction result well in line with expectations
In October this year Phillips in New York held the auction Photographs, which included the work My Bike in San Francisco by Ruth Orkin. It changed hands for a price of USD 2,794.00 (€ 2,643.83) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ruth Orkin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work American Girl in Florence, Italy in February 2021 with an auction result of USD 52,812.50 (€ 43,671.96).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober diesen Jahres führte Phillips in New York die Auktion Photographs durch, in der auch die Arbeit My Bike in San Francisco von Ruth Orkin zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 2.794,00 (€ 2.643,83) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ruth Orkin erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit American Girl in Florence, Italy im Februar 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 52.812,50 (€ 43.671,96).
