The work The White Pavilion in Huangshan by Russel Wong was sold in the Southeast Asian Modern and Contemporary Art auction at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2010. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 37,500.00 (€ 3,705.12), 25% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Russel Wong have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Bamboo Forest in May 2007 with an auction result of HKD 204,000.00 (€ 19,424.96).

Die Arbeit The White Pavilion in Huangshan von Russel Wong wurde im November 2010 in der Auktion Southeast Asian Modern and Contemporary Art bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 37.500,00 (€ 3.705,12) und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Russel Wong auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Bamboo Forest im Mai 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 204.000,00 (€ 19.424,96).
