The work North sea in mist, Huangshan, China, 2007 by Russel Wong was sold in the Southeast Asian Modern and Contemporary Art auction at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2008. It achieved a price of HKD 62,500.00 (€ 5,145.40), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 56%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Russel Wong - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Bamboo Forest, which sold at auction in May 2007 for HKD 204,000.00 (€ 19,424.96).

Die Arbeit North sea in mist, Huangshan, China, 2007 von Russel Wong wurde im Mai 2008 in der Auktion Southeast Asian Modern and Contemporary Art bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 62.500,00 (€ 5.145,40) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 56%. Für andere Arbeiten von Russel Wong mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Bamboo Forest beobachtet, die im Mai 2007 für HKD 204.000,00 (€ 19.424,96) versteigert wurde.
