A top price for Rupert Bunny - as previously expected
In June 2011 Sothebys in London held the auction Impressionist & Modern Art Day Sale, which included the work Femme Lisant by Rupert Bunny. The price achieved of GBP 301,250.00 (€ 333,277.13) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 250,000.00 – 350,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Femme Lisant is the most expensive artwork by Rupert Bunny that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Im Juni 2011 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Impressionist & Modern Art Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Femme Lisant von Rupert Bunny zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 301.250,00 (€ 333.277,13) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 250.000,00 – 350.000,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Femme Lisant das teuerste Kunstwerk von Rupert Bunny, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
