Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2000 Christies in London held the auction SPORTING ART AND DOGS, which included the work The meet; and Over the fence by Rudolf Stone. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 1,116.25 (€ 1,769.39) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Rudolf Stone have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The meet; Over the fence; In full cry; and The kill in June 2002 with an auction result of GBP 8,812.50 (€ 13,630.94).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni 2000 führte Christies in London die Auktion SPORTING ART AND DOGS durch, in der auch die Arbeit The meet; and Over the fence von Rudolf Stone zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 1.116,25 (€ 1.769,39) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Rudolf Stone auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The meet; Over the fence; In full cry; and The kill im Juni 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 8.812,50 (€ 13.630,94).
