Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In November 2001 Christies in London held the auction Sporting Art and Dogs, which included the work On the scent; and The chase by Rudolf Stone. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 1,400.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 1,410.00 (€ 2,243.75). Admittedly, works by Rudolf Stone have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The meet; Over the fence; In full cry; and The kill in June 2002 with an auction result of GBP 8,812.50 (€ 13,630.94).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im November 2001 führte Christies in London die Auktion Sporting Art and Dogs durch, in der auch die Arbeit On the scent; and The chase von Rudolf Stone zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 1.400,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 1.410,00 (€ 2.243,75) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Rudolf Stone auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The meet; Over the fence; In full cry; and The kill im Juni 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 8.812,50 (€ 13.630,94).
