Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2021 Bonhams in Hong Kong held the auction Southeast Asian Modern & Contemporary Art, which included the work Balian dari sakti (A traditional doctor of divine powers) by Rudolf Bonnet. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 55,000.00 – 75,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 57,375.00 (€ 6,142.89) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Rudolf Bonnet achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Market Scene in November 2015 with an auction result of HKD 25,880,000.00 (€ 3,160,878.62).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2021 führte Bonhams in Hong Kong die Auktion Southeast Asian Modern & Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Balian dari sakti (A traditional doctor of divine powers) von Rudolf Bonnet zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 55.000,00 – 75.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 57.375,00 (€ 6.142,89) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Rudolf Bonnet erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Market Scene im November 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 25.880.000,00 (€ 3.160.878,62).
