Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Study for Wall Painting "The Buginese" by Rudolf Bonnet was sold in the Modern Art Day Sale auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2021. The price achieved of HKD 693,000.00 (€ 77,086.65) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 500,000.00 – 1,000,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Rudolf Bonnet achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Market Scene in November 2015 with an auction result of HKD 25,880,000.00 (€ 3,160,878.62).
