Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work A break in the clouds by Roy Petley was sold in the British, Continental and Russian Pictures auction at Christies in London in December 2006. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 1,200.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 1,320.00 (€ 1,959.05). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Roy Petley - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Beach At Dueville, which sold at auction in November 2006 for GBP 3,840.00 (€ 5,702.52).

Die Arbeit A break in the clouds von Roy Petley wurde im Dezember 2006 in der Auktion British, Continental and Russian Pictures bei Christies in London versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 1.200,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 1.320,00 (€ 1.959,05) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Roy Petley mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Beach At Dueville beobachtet, die im November 2006 für GBP 3.840,00 (€ 5.702,52) versteigert wurde.
