It achieved a price of USD 50,400.00 (€ 43,628.81), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 68%. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Roy DeCarava; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Hallway, New York sold at auction in October 2019 with the realized price of USD 72,500.00 (€ 64,993.28).
