Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Graduation by Roy DeCarava was sold in the Classic Photographs auction at Sothebys in New York in October 2021. Here, the upper estimate of USD 30,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 32,760.00 (€ 28,358.73). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Roy DeCarava - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Hallway, New York, which sold at auction in October 2019 for USD 72,500.00 (€ 64,993.28).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Graduation von Roy DeCarava wurde im Oktober 2021 in der Auktion Classic Photographs bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 30.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 32.760,00 (€ 28.358,73) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Roy DeCarava mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Hallway, New York beobachtet, die im Oktober 2019 für USD 72.500,00 (€ 64.993,28) versteigert wurde.
