Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Penlee Park by Rose Hilton was sold in the 20th Century British & Irish Art auction at Sothebys in Olympia in June 2007. The price achieved of GBP 1,200.00 (€ 1,780.74) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Rose Hilton - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in June 2019 for GBP 5,625.00 (€ 6,323.33).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Penlee Park von Rose Hilton wurde im Juni 2007 in der Auktion 20th Century British & Irish Art bei Sothebys in Olympia versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.200,00 (€ 1.780,74) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Rose Hilton mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit ohne Titel beobachtet, die im Juni 2019 für GBP 5.625,00 (€ 6.323,33) versteigert wurde.
