Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2003 Christies in London held the auction 20TH C BRIT ART INC. WORKS FROM THE STUDIO OF HILDA CARLINE, which included the work Girl in the Studio by Rose Hilton. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 500.00 – 700.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 528.75 (€ 772.29) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Rose Hilton have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work without title in June 2019 with an auction result of GBP 5,625.00 (€ 6,323.33).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2003 führte Christies in London die Auktion 20TH C BRIT ART INC. WORKS FROM THE STUDIO OF HILDA CARLINE durch, in der auch die Arbeit Girl in the Studio von Rose Hilton zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 500,00 – 700,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 528,75 (€ 772,29) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Rose Hilton auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit ohne Titel im Juni 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 5.625,00 (€ 6.323,33).
