Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2006 Christies in London held the auction 20th Century British Art, which included the work Penlee Park by Rose Hilton. The price achieved of GBP 840.00 (€ 1,203.57) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 700.00 – 1,000.00. Admittedly, works by Rose Hilton have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work without title in June 2019 with an auction result of GBP 5,625.00 (€ 6,323.33).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März 2006 führte Christies in London die Auktion 20th Century British Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Penlee Park von Rose Hilton zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 840,00 (€ 1.203,57) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 700,00 – 1.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Rose Hilton auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit ohne Titel im Juni 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 5.625,00 (€ 6.323,33).
