Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Two Circle, from Rectangle Series by Ron Davis was sold in the Geometric AbstractionPrints & Multiples Online auction at Bonhams in New York in February 2020. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 500.00 – 700.00, the actual price achieved of USD 510.00 (€ 462.59) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ron Davis achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in July 2013 with an auction result of USD 81,250.00 (€ 61,173.02).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Two Circle, from Rectangle Series von Ron Davis wurde im Februar 2020 in der Auktion Geometric AbstractionPrints & Multiples Online bei Bonhams in New York versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 500,00 – 700,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 510,00 (€ 462,59) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ron Davis erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit ohne Titel im Juli 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 81.250,00 (€ 61.173,02).
