Auction result well in line with expectations
In February 2020 Bonhams in New York held the auction Geometric AbstractionPrints & Multiples Online, which included the work Trapezoid F, from Monochromatic Series by Ron Davis. The price achieved of USD 510.00 (€ 462.59) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 450.00 – 550.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ron Davis achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in July 2013 with an auction result of USD 81,250.00 (€ 61,173.02).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Februar 2020 führte Bonhams in New York die Auktion Geometric AbstractionPrints & Multiples Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Trapezoid F, from Monochromatic Series von Ron Davis zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 510,00 (€ 462,59) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 450,00 – 550,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ron Davis erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit ohne Titel im Juli 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 81.250,00 (€ 61.173,02).
