Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In April 2021 Bonhams in Los Angeles held the auction Made in CaliforniaContemporary Art, which included the work Two Lens and Serpentine, 1980 by Ron Davis. Here, the upper estimate of USD 15,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 15,300.00 (€ 12,718.20). Admittedly, works by Ron Davis have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work without title in July 2013 with an auction result of USD 81,250.00 (€ 61,173.02).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im April 2021 führte Bonhams in Los Angeles die Auktion Made in CaliforniaContemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Two Lens and Serpentine, 1980 von Ron Davis zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 15.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 15.300,00 (€ 12.718,20) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ron Davis auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit ohne Titel im Juli 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 81.250,00 (€ 61.173,02).
