Upper estimated price slightly exceeded

Here, the upper estimate of USD 8,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 8,287.50 (€ 6,889.03). Admittedly, works by Ron Davis have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work without title in July 2013 with an auction result of USD 81,250.00 (€ 61,173.02).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Meteors and Tube Near Mars, 1981 von Ron Davis wurde im April 2021 in der Auktion Made in CaliforniaContemporary Art bei Bonhams in Los Angeles versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 8.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 8.287,50 (€ 6.889,03) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ron Davis auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit ohne Titel im Juli 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 81.250,00 (€ 61.173,02).
