Auction result misses estimated price range
In March 2011 a collector was able to acquire the work Marilyn Anti-Warhol #5 by Ron English for USD 1,750.00 (€ 1,233.87). This price was achieved in the auction Contemporary Art at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ron English achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Slash 'n Friends (Album Cover) in May 2011 with an auction result of USD 92,500.00 (€ 64,343.35).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im März 2011 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Marilyn Anti-Warhol #5 von Ron English für USD 1.750,00 (€ 1.233,87) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Contemporary Art bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ron English erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Slash 'n Friends (Album Cover) im Mai 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 92.500,00 (€ 64.343,35).
